Hello! I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and then went on to the University of Detroit Mercy, where I earned my Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Today, I am a fully licensed psychologist currently working in general practice and am a registered member of the American Psychological Association and the Michigan Psychological Association.
I have over 10 years of experience, and primarily work with adolescents and adults with adjustment problems, grief work, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, and other psychological problems in individual therapy. I also have experience working with couples and families.
In addition to general practice, I also have experience in providing services to the LGBTQ+ community. I have also worked in the inpatient setting, so I am familiar with more severe psychological problems. I also have experience working in the hospital setting with crime victims with symptoms of acute stress and PTSD.
I feel creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment is key in developing a positive therapeutic relationship. I have experience with multiple therapeutic techniques, including the psychodynamic, cognitive and behavioral (CBT), and humanistic perspectives. Finally, I believe that therapy works best when we can work collaboratively to tailor the treatment to best meet your needs.
