Kelly is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) who is located in the Grand Rapids area. Currently, she only provides clinical supervision for limited licensed counselors (LLC) and students in their practicum or internship experience. Kelly provides supervision services in group and individual formats. She also provides consultation services to fellow counselors regarding cases involving compulsive sexual behaviors (IE: pornography & sexual addiction) and complex partner betrayal trauma. Multiple roles and foci are employed in supervision. The supervisor may use a variety of roles with the supervisor, such as teacher, counselor, or consultant, addressing overall developmental goals in addition to the expressed goals and identified performance issues. Supervision may focus on interventions/techniques to use with clients, case conceptualization, professional behaviors, or the counselor as both a person and change agent. The pervasive goal of supervision is for the supervisee to gain more complex and integrative assessment, conceptualization, and intervention skills.

Kelly has a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts in School & Community Counseling from Wayne State University. Kelly also has completed coursework at The University of North Carolina Greensboro in clinical supervision for Limited Licensed Counselors (LLC). Kelly is the author of Deeply Troubled Radically Forgiven: A memoir about rebuilding after complex sexual betrayal. She is an international speaker regarding masturbation and pornography, relationship infidelity, trauma reactions, couples healing, and post-traumatic stress disorders. She is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), is trained in Somatic and Attachment-Focused EMDR (SAFE), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Her primary interest areas include identity development and matters related to intimacy and attachment.
