Jeanne Gonek

Hello, my name is Jeanne Gonek. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Administration from Madonna University. My experience in assisting those in need was first acquired while working at the Oakland County Friend of the Court, which I have since retired from. I provided Family Mediation and Facilitation for situations involving divorce and separation often focusing on the well-being of children.

My passion is primarily focused on working with children ages three and up, in the areas of Depression/Anxiety, ADHD/OCD, Autism, Eating Disorders, and Grief and Loss. I strive to provide a relaxed environment in which children are comfortable sharing their feelings. This may be accomplished through play therapy, cognitive behavior therapy and behavior modification. I believe that the therapy that is utilized should be as individual as the child in hopes that the child will carry those skills into their adult life. I am currently taking face to face clients in the Southfield location
