Therapy presents a unique opportunity to experience your inner world without reserve, judgment, or conformity. As your therapist, I will diligently work to create an environment where you feel safety, freedom, acceptance, and belonging. I strictly work relationally. To me, this means that I will work to create a warm and empathetic environment that allows us together to look closely at your story and how it has brought you to where you are today. We will collaborate and explore the profound effect your emotions, thought patterns, belief systems, and behaviors have on your life.
My approach to therapy pulls from evidence-based psychotherapeutic practices such as Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Gestalt Therapy, and other attachment-based and trauma-informed experiential theories. I utilize these psychodynamic or emotionally experientially based interventions by focusing on attachment styles in past and current relationships, interpersonal neurobiology, mindfulness, and bodily somatic experiences. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Development from Oakland University. I am also completing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Townsend Institute for Leadership & Counseling at Concordia University Irvine.
I am passionate about helping you not only heal but grow. I am devoted to seeing you transform through establishing and strengthening healthy emotional bonds with other human beings, finding a solid sense of self and individual otherness, processing pain through love and acceptance, and finding your competency and purpose in life. Most importantly, I desire to support your unique goals toward healing, fulfillment, and growth. I believe you can heal and fully recover from your suffering to live a life of dignity and flourishment, and I am ready to join you on that journey.
