I am a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan. I received my B.S. in Psychology from Michigan State University and my M.A. in Counseling from Oakland University. I have experience working with adolescents and adults in dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, mental disorders, and adjustment issues. I use an eclectic theoretical approach that utilizes a number of theories including CognitiveBehavioral, Rational Emotive, Humanistic, Existential, and Client Centered.
Because of my multicultural background, I believe in a counseling relationship rooted in understanding, acceptance, trust, and openness where the goals of counseling can be established and where we can work collaboratively towards a state of mental and emotional health. I take a holistic and integrative approach that takes into consideration all aspects of the client’s life in order to determine multiple possible courses of action where change can be applied to achieve the goals of counseling.
