“Life is hard! Between relationships, work, maintaining a healthy social life, family, living according to our values, and SO much more, keeping up with everything can feel like an immense challenge. Throughout our lives, we experience periods of distress that can feel unshakable. Sometimes, these challenges compound on top of one another until we feel like waitstaff at a restaurant, juggling 18 plates, 23 cups, and hundreds of eating utensils!

In my practice, I want to help you slow down. My person-centered approach (PCT) emphasizes building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, supported, seen, valued, and, ultimately, understood. I strive to create a nonjudgmental space where we can work through your concerns together, at your own pace. I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you who to be or how to live, but to walk alongside you as we explore what’s working, what’s not, and what changes might help you move toward a more fulfilling life.

Together, we can identify the strengths and supports, explore thought patterns that may be contributing to distress, and engage in honest self-reflection that fosters growth and empowerment. Some of our habitual ways of thinking and behaving can be traced back to childhood. We often develop coping strategies to help navigate difficult situations. For survival. While these strategies may have served an important purpose at one point in our lives, they can sometimes become obstacles to our well-being in the present. I believe that gently examining these patterns and taking an honest look at the bigger picture can help us better understand ourselves, recognize what’s holding us back, and discover new ways of moving forward.

After all, what would a quarterback be without his offensive line? Or a bride-to-be without her maid of honor? Both play vital roles in supporting someone as they navigate important moments and challenges in life. I believe the same is true when it comes to our own personal growth. You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone, and I would be honored to be part of your support system.

In addition to person-centered therapy, I incorporate existential therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy (SFT) into my practice. I am an intern nearing completion of my Master’s in Counseling Degree to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My goal is to meet you where you are, honor your unique experiences, and work collaboratively with you to find an approach that best supports your needs.
