Ashley Muller

I view counseling as a collaborative relationship where I am serving the client. My belief is that clients know themselves best and they have the ability inside them to create desired change. I adapt my approach for each individual client and learn how to be the best counselor possible for that person every session.

I have acquired my master's degree and am a licensed professional counselor, and also finished my PhD coursework in Counseling at Oakland University. On top of seeing clients weekly, I also supervise beginning therapists.

I work with varying client demographics from early adolescence to older adults. The most common presenting concerns I work with are anxiety, depression, relationships, and trauma. Reaching out for mental health services can carry stigma. One of my main goals with every client is to reduce potential shame and clarify misconceptions about contacting a counselor. I commend individuals for taking steps to improve their mental well-being and find it to be one of the most courageous things someone can do. Let’s get started!
