Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
I am a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern who is passionate about supporting individuals on their journey toward improved mental health and overall well-being.
Education and Training:
I am working towards a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Eastern Michigan University, where I have gained a solid foundation in counseling theories, ethics, and evidence-based practices. Throughout my academic journey, I have immersed myself in coursework focused on person-centered therapy, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness techniques.
Approach to Counseling:
I believe in creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted. I utilize an internal family systems (IFS) approach tailoring my interventions to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. Through active listening, empathy, and collaboration, I help clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while fostering a sense of empowerment and self-discovery.
Professional Growth and Commitment:
I am committed to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest research and therapeutic techniques. I actively engage in regular supervision, participate in workshops and conferences, and seek opportunities to expand my clinical skills. I am dedicated to providing ethical and culturally sensitive care, and she values diversity and inclusivity in her practice.
