As humans, we experience each and every situation in a different and complex way. I believe that there are many different avenues to take when seeking services such as psychotherapy. Whether you’re hoping to process through a difficult and life changing experience or just want to gain a few tips for better studying; therapy is a great place to be. As a psychotherapist, I value creating a collaborative and safe environment for an individual to explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviors, while also providing the necessary support and challenge to help the individual grow.
I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Michigan University. During this time, I worked with the University of Michigan Dearborn’s Counseling and Psychological Services, where I gained experience in working with college students and adults on a variety of concerns such as: stress, anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns, relationship concerns, grief/loss and self-confidence/self-esteem related issues. I often take an integrative and solution-based approach to therapy by including many different aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBT). However, I will work with you to determine the best course of action based on your own concerns and goals for therapy.
Reaching out and beginning this therapeutic process can be difficult and scary. However, just by looking at this website or at this profile, you’re taking some great first steps to improve your mental health. I look forward to working with you and to help you on your journey to the changes you want to see in your life.
