The therapeutic relationship is an invaluable dynamic that takes proper chemistry and care. Because therapy can often be a long term endeavor, working with a therapist who demonstrates compassion, empathy and honesty are important traits to cultivate a positive therapeutic relationship. This combination of characteristics is something that I can offer along with various therapeutic approaches chosen to yield to the uniqueness of each individual client.
I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Communications from Michigan State University later completing my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wayne State University. I work with both adolescents and adults within various areas including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma and several others. I have a passion for women’s issues and assisting with building the proper skills to work through concerns surrounding self-esteem, self- worth and self-confidence. A quote that has stuck with me over the years is, “happiness is in the heart, not the circumstances”; allow me to assist you in finding the happiness within your heart.
