You have nothing to be sad about’ or ‘just breathe – if you’re struggling with anxiety, depression or
other mental health issues, you have probably heard phrases like this. If only it were so easy. I believe
that the client holds the solution to their challenges within themselves. Every client is unique. Together,
we will identify your individual goals, and ways to achieve them. This process is a very personal one, and
I will be there with you every step of the way to empower you to lead a meaningful life according to
your values.
I work with adults and adolescents who are struggling anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship
issues, communication skills and life adjustment issues. I also have experience in working with
individuals struggling with substance use disorders/addictions and eating disorders. My counseling
practice is based on an Existential and person-centered approach. Not every counseling style is right for
every client. I am employing an integrative and holistic treatment approach tailored to your personal
needs, informed by elements of DBT and Acceptance and Commitment therapy, to help you to live a
purposeful life as you envision it for yourself.
I received my Masters of Arts degree in Counseling from Oakland University. Currently, I am enrolled in
the Doctoral program at Oakland University, pursuing a Doctoral degree in Counselor Education. I am a
Limited License Professional Counselo as well as a National Certified Counselor.
