A child’s emotional or behavioral issues create difficulty for both the child and parent. Parents are often left feeling frustrated and confused, not knowing what to do. I believe you have valuable insight to share with me about your child. I work with children who demonstrate problematic behaviors, anxiety, depression, and adjustment difficulties. Your child and I will work to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship by exploring their personality, interests, strengths, likes, and dislikes. Therapy is a place for your child to explore their struggles, learn, and grow in the presence of an empathetic and attuned therapist. I graduated from Michigan School of Psychology where I earned my master’s degree in clinical psychology. I use a combination of therapeutic approaches including behavior therapy, directive and non-directive play therapy, and age-appropriate talk therapy. Additionally, through parent psychoeducation, I will provide you with the techniques and support needed to implement interventions that are aimed to improve daily experiences.
