Leah Bowles

It can be intimidating to take the first step in getting help, but I am here to offer an unbiased, non judgemental and client centered approach to help navigate the things that life brings us. I view therapy as collaborative and flexible, and offer that safe space we all need sometimes to work towards fulfilling goals. Helping clients reach their full potential is my passion.

As a counselor, I have worked with populations ranging from adolescence to young adulthood. I have helped those with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, motivation, career/academic transitions and have worked in crisis work, self-harm and suicide prevention, as well as LGBTQ+ friendly. I have personal life experiences with working towards my own mental health which serves me to be understanding and compassionate to my clients. I take a person-centered approach, I believe clients are the experts on their own lives and I am there to work alongside clients to process those thoughts and emotions that pop up, and be a safe person for that journey. I know that every client's needs are different, that is why I utilize a variety of techniques and work with clients to help them feel best supported.

I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Oakland University where I then went on to receive my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I look forward to helping clients on their journey to healing, whatever that may look like.
