As an experienced clinician, I approach every client as if they were my first one; unique and original. I believe people are resilient and have the capability to feel peace and acceptance within themselves and their relationships. My experience and passion is working with adults and adolescents who are seeking assistance with depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorders, anger management, life transitions, relationship issues and school/work-related concerns. From this experience, I learned the value of practicing compassion while challenging clients to look internally and lead a life that nurtures well-being, self-acceptance and understanding.
I received a Master’s degree in Counseling from Oakland University and I am a Nationally Board Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor.
I typically utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, and person centered approaches during counseling sessions, but my approach varies based on each client’s needs. Also, a little humor in session goes a long way! I am certain that our sessions will leave you feeling empowered and confident to tackle any obstacle that may come your way.
