I am interested in working with clients from all walks of life that are dealing with a variety of problems or concerns. The ideal client for me is someone that is simply willing to put effort into the therapeutic process and work collaboratively with me to ensure their goals are achieve and they are able to live lives that are in accordance with their values, beliefs, dreams, aspirations, and desires. I strongly believe that anyone can benefit from counseling regardless of what troubles them.
I specialize in PTSD/Trauma, substance abuse, anxiety and depression. Not only are these the areas in which I have the most interest, they are also things that I have firsthand experience with in my personal life. I believe my education and life experience make me a formidable counselor in these areas.
I understand it can be difficult to reach out and ask for help when we are faced with issues in our lives, but I will say that I strive to foster a safe and comfortable environment where clients can feel they are being heard and treated with the highest level of care of which I am capable.
I received a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University in Exercise Science: Kinesiology and General Psychology. I received a Master of Science from West Virginia University in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. I am a United States Marine Corps veteran with two combat tours to Afghanistan.
