Life brings about all ranges of human emotion and reaction. As we are all individuals, we have different perspectives on the challenges that tend to suddenly appear at our doorstep. It is a powerful realization to recognize when those experiences become too overwhelming to manage alone. Through a variety of psychodynamic, humanistic and behavioral theories, I work to use an integrative approach to therapeutic intervention in order to fit the treatment to the individual.
I graduated with my master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University. I specialize in depression, anxiety, ADHD and life transitions in adolescents and adults. I also hold a master’s degree in Education and have been a high school teacher for 21 years. This experience aids in my understanding of the psychological development that occurs during middle school, high school and college years as well as the common pressures and social conflicts.
The concerns that bring you to my office will be addressed in a manner that is thorough and that aligns with your goals for change and improvement. We will work together to navigate through your personal challenges in order to discover the best strategies for leading a healthier and happier existence.
