Whatever it is that you may be struggling with, I am here to help.
As a psychotherapist, my goal is to provide clients with a safe, comfortable, and judge-free environment to speak openly about what they are going through. I am there to encourage, motivate, challenge, and guide the client in an atmosphere that will instill hope and positive change. I believe that progress is made when the therapist meets the client where they are at and moves at a pace that is best for the client.
I utilize a holistic and integrative client-centered therapy approach. This means that I look at the person as a whole to understand who they are while also incorporating a variety of psychological approaches, such as Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral, Reality Therapy, as well as aspects of Gestalt therapy. I primarily work with adolescents and young adults presenting with depression, anxiety, life adjustment, relational issues, self-esteem, and grief.
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University and also have a Bachelors degree in Behavioral Psychology from Western Michigan University.
