As a multicultural bilingual psychotherapist, my goal is not to change you. My goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment that allows you to be transparent in working through your obstacles. As a clinician, I feel the most important aspect of treatment is allowing my clients a sense of freedom when expressing themselves and working through their traumas. I take pride in providing a nonjudgmental, laid-back environment through the process of treatment. I specialize in working with court-ordered clients, primarily men. I have a history of having worked with clients from all walks of life, specifically those within the court system, clients who struggle with substance abuse, anger management, human trafficking, sexual assault & domestic violence, and trauma as a whole. I am determined to aid you in the process of recovery and self-healing. Additionally, I am also trained to work with couples.
I decided to become a therapist because my goal in life was to become the person I needed when I was growing up. I went through 9 therapists before I found the right one, and knowing the disappointment attached to that first hand, I made it a goal to be that person others feel comfortable talking to. A good relationship with my clients is a priority for me. Without a connection, the therapeutic process can be uncomfortable for many.
If I could change the world… I would remove the mental health stigma associated across all cultures. That which also includes encouraging our veterans who struggle to seek treatment as well as those of cultures that believe seeking treatment is for the weak. I am here to tell you it’s okay to ask for help.
When I’m not at work you can find me: Spending time with loved ones as well as listening to music and scrapbooking.
