Life can bring many hardships including challenging relationships, job loss, death,
divorce, and more. We can sometimes be consumed by the hurt and pain we encounter.
We may end up feeling out of control or finding that our ways of thinking and behaving
are no longer working. Often this distress manifests in symptoms such as anxiety,
depression, or physical health concerns. Counseling is a safe place where we can explore
these hardships and symptoms together. My goal is to honor your autonomy without
judgment while empowering you to create meaningful, intentional living.
My approach to the therapeutic process involves collaboration with the client in order to
establish a treatment plan and goals that fit the unique needs of the client. I work from an
eclectic approach including client-centered therapy, mindfulness, CBT, psychodynamic,
and narrative therapy to assist clients in gaining curiosity about and acceptance of
thoughts, feelings, and actions. I believe that as people become more accepting of
themselves through self-exploration, they become more capable of making choices that
facilitate positive change in their lives.
I enjoy working with adults and couples who are experiencing anxiety disorders, mood
disorders, relational challenges, grief and loss, past trauma, and life transitions. Reaching
out to a counselor is a courageous act of self-compassion; I look forward to hearing from
you and working together!
