Jared (he/him) is a licensed master’s level psychotherapist (TLLP) who earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his master’s degree in clinical psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology. He is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and Michigan Psychological Association (MPA). Additionally, Jared is an active member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and he is familiar with the most recent Standards of Care (V7) for working with transgender clients. Jared is under supervision by an AASECT certified sex therapy supervisor.
Jared has experience with adults working with identity concerns, sexual dysfunction, and compulsive sexual behavior. He also has experience working with couples utilizing the Gottman approach to couple’s therapy. Jared has previously worked in a community center setting, and a private practice clinic focused on relationship and sexual health.
Jared emphasizes genuineness, empathy, and acceptance in his work with clients. He utilizes an eclectic mode of psychotherapy focused on integrating elements of existential-humanistic and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques. Using this framework, he tailors treatment to the needs of each client he sees.
