Childhood and adolescence is a time of frequent transitions, changes, and development. Navigating this complex stage of life can present many challenges within an individual themselves as well as in their family systems, peer groups, and school careers. Often times, youth and their families can benefit from working with an experienced therapist who can guide them through the bumps in the road. My experience as a school psychologist, psychotherapist, teacher, and dietetics major provides me with a unique and comprehensive understanding of the multitude of stressors that youth face during their development. My holistic approach to therapy can help your child or adolescent develop healthy coping strategies by teaching them to recognize negative thought patterns and to replace them with thinking that leads to more positive feelings and behaviors.

I graduated with my Master of Arts in School and Community Psychology with an Advanced Graduate Certificate in School Psychology from Wayne State University. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Psychology from Michigan State University. Finally, I earned my teaching certificate in Biology through the University of Michigan’s alternate route to certification (M-ARC) program. I primarily work with children, adolescents, and their families in the identification and treatment of behavioral, emotional, social, and academic challenges. I also have experience working with at-risk youth.

In partnership with you, I look forward to helping your family maneuver through this messy, challenging, and exciting journey.
