Life can be amazing; full of joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Life can also be a challenge filled with painful struggles and trials. We all go through it. We also all need support, encouragement, and resources to make it through these obstacles life throws at us. Whether it be anxiety, depression, trauma, anger or stress management, substance use, self esteem, domestic violence, LGBTQ issues, ect. no matter what you are going through, I want to be here for you to empower and help you overcome your battles and reach your fullest potential. I believe we all have gifts, talents, strengths, and something unique to offer this world. I believe that any human being can overcome the burdens of life with proper coping skills, support systems and resources. Come as you are and I am happy to work with you! My goal is to help clients utilize their strengths and resources, and learn more about themselves so they can progress further in life. Not only do clients learn a lot from treatment, but I believe I can learn from them as well! I approach treatment in a client centered manner, tailoring therapy uniquely to each individual based on their needs and desires. I value warmth, empathy, and a strength based perspective. In particular, I specialize using CBT, motivational interviewing, and an ecological perspective. I am also certified in trauma. Therapy is an alliance between client and therapist, and can range from having homework or hands-on activities, to just having a safe space to talk with a guaranteed listener- it is your decision and you are your own expert! I received my graduate degree in Social Work at Wayne State University in 2017, and my bachelors degree in Social Work at Eastern Michigan University in 2016. Currently I am an LMSW, CTP.
