Sometimes individuals feel “stuck,” leading to experiences of sadness, anxiety, or being overwhelmed. Whatever is causing you to feel as if you cannot move forward such as a traumatic experience, issues with relationships, or other life problems, I can help. I believe in working collaboratively with clients to curate a treatment plan that can help them begin to enjoy life again. Together, we can form a strong and secure therapeutic relationship and collaboratively investigate the patterns in your life that may be contributing to your distress. I believe therapy can be used for more than symptom or distress reduction. Therapy can help you gain insight about past experiences and use that insight to create better experiences in the future.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from The City University of New York (CUNY) and received my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Columbia University. I am currently a third-year doctoral student in clinical psychology at the University of Detroit Mercy. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, and groups in a therapeutic capacity. I also have much experience completing psychological evaluations regarding issues such as ADHD, bariatric pre-surgery requirements, parole requirements, differential diagnoses, etc.
In addition to general practice, I also have experience in providing services to those who have complex trauma histories, acute stress, and PTSD. I am dedicated to utilizing multiple methods and conceptualizing through multiple viewpoints to better attend to each individual’s needs. Furthermore, I am dedicated to creating a safe environment for patients of all backgrounds and identities.
