It is a beautiful thing when a passion and a career come together. I have always been intrigued by the working minds of children and adolescents. This passion and curiosity led me to a career in the field of psychology, where I specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults. I strive to help children and their families work together by utilizing a humanistic and integrative approach to therapy. I practice from a client-centered perceptive which offers you the opportunity to gain a better sense of yourself and your child. Each treatment is modified to fit the needs of the individual client. I believe it is imperative to build a strong rapport with my clients and their families while providing a safe, non-judgmental, and emphatic environment. I utilize a blend of psychological approaches including evidence based practices, cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic theories.
I have experience working with an array of presenting challenges including: ADHD, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorders/Asperger’s, disruptive behaviors, parenting training, depression, learning disabilities, oppositional defiance, school difficulties, teenage concerns, social skills, and anger management.
I hold a Bachelors degree from Oakland University where I majored in psychology. I also have a Masters of Arts (MA) and Doctorate degree (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology.
